About Unblind Your Mind

Unblind Your Mind is a disability-awareness programme that uses the Paralympic sport of blind football to help primary school children understand, respect, and champion people with disabilities.

Our Mission

To give every primary school pupil in England a safe, fun, and inclusive blind football experience that turns uninformed children into disability champions — equipped with the confidence, empathy, and skills to interact positively with people who are different from them.

Our Vision

A world where every child grows up understanding that disability is a natural part of human diversity — and where classrooms, playgrounds, and communities are places of belonging for everyone.

Our Values

Inclusion

Every child deserves to feel welcome, valued, and included. Our workshops create environments where differences are celebrated and no one is left out.

Empathy

Understanding begins with feeling. By wearing a blindfold and experiencing life without sight, pupils develop genuine empathy that lasts beyond the workshop.

Courage

We encourage children to have a go, make mistakes, and try again. Our blind football facilitators model courage every day by competing at the highest level without sight.

Respect

We teach children that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of ability. Respect is the foundation of every interaction in our workshops.

Authenticity

Our facilitators are real athletes with real stories. Children respond to genuine lived experience, not textbook lessons. Authenticity builds trust and lasting impact.

Excellence

From preparation to delivery to follow-up, we hold ourselves to the highest standards. Every school deserves a world-class experience for their pupils.
